Kompass Translations is owned and run by Melanie Hersey. I am a freelance translator and native speaker of British English based in Cambridge, UK. I have been working as a freelance translator and proofreader (German and French into English) for numerous translation agencies and direct clients across Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland since 2001.
I translate in many different fields including travel and tourism, marketing, general business, jewellery and watch-making, social sciences, art and fashion. I am highly organised and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
